Hi all.  I told you I would be back soon... So, here is another Imagine That design team submission.  I chose to do Gertie Goose Independence Day for my card.  I needed to make a 4th of July birthday card and I thought this would kill 2 birds with one stone.  ;-)  I had done previous Gertie Goose cards, back in October of last year and January of this year.  This image happened to be on the Imagine That Digi Stamps Facebook page at the beginning of July.  This time, I decided to make Gertie yellow, because I wanted to do her outfit red, white and blue.  I used Copic and Sharpie Ultra Fine markers. The image and background paper were die cut with Nestabilities.  Since I had to use the largest die on the image, I cut the red dotted paper with the same size die and just cut it in half.
Happy belated 4th.  LOL!
This set and many other Gertie Goose sets are available in the store.

Don't forget that you still have time to play along with our Progressive Digi Challenge.
Please check out what our design team members are up to and while you are there, you can see the other entries that were submitted.

This card was entered into Catch the Bug Bingo Challenge.

Rainy Day Fun

Hi all.  Today I am posting a Throwback Thursday (even though it is Sunday).  I live in Florida and we get tremendous amounts of rain in the summer.  This particular image was from a while back, but I thought it was appropriate to make it now.  The name of the file is Rainy Day Fun.  My medium, this time, was colored pencils.  I decided to give the markers a break.  I wanted to do something different, so I used Nestabilities dies to cut 2 windows showing the face of the girl and the duck.  I used the larger, positive piece to pop up on the top with hello stamped on it.  I used an embossing folder of clouds as well as an edge folder and scored some lines.  When you open the card, you can see the entire image.  This is not my usual style and I thought it turned out very cute, however, it is not easy lining up the image with the windows.  Don't try this at home, boys and girls!  ;-)

Unfortunately, the pic of the front looks like it was debossed instead of embossed.  It really looks better in person than it does in the pictures.
I will be posting some more cards real soon, so don't forget to check back.  Also, it is not too late to enter the progressive digi challenge here.  You can get a free digi.  see the blog for details.

Imagine That Digi Stamps, July Challenge and 3 Other Cards

Hi everyone.  I have been pretty busy, making cards this past week. The first one is for our July Progressive Challenge.  I decided to do something different with my coloring.  Usually, I use Copic & Spectrum Noir markers.  This time I used colored pencils and Gamsol (it helps to move the color around and give the pencil marks a smoother look.  Unfortunately, With all of my pencils, I couldn't find a true red.  They are a little orangeish (I made up that word).  However, I like the way it turned out, anyway.

My next 2 cards were a special order.  She wanted butterflies with the sentiment inside to say:  If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.  Here are 2 of them...

I used designer card stock for the focal image and cut out a few butterflies and colored with Copic and Spectrum Noir markers.  I added some bling to each.  She just loved them all!

The last card for this post is one that I made for a friend who is going to be having surgery, due to her second bout with breast cancer.  The inside of the card says:  Don't be afraid of tomorrow, God is already there!  I plan on giving it to her tomorrow.  The image is from McMahon Five (BCA)

Don't forget, if you played along on our last challenge (June), you will be eligible for your free Meowy Mousmas digi stamp.  If you didn't play last month, the set can be downloaded from the store.  It also happens to be on sale, too!

Till next time...
