Sorry...

Hi all.  I'm sorry that I have gone missing for the past 3 ½ weeks.  I am afraid that my son was involved in a terrible car accident on April 2.  We didn't know where he was until 8 days later because the hospital spelled his name wrong when they admitted him.  He was hit by an 18 wheeler and sustained grave damage to his brain.  He has been in a coma for 4 weeks and doesn't seem to be progressing.  He is unresponsive and has caught pneumonia.  Needless to say, I am not working on anything that causes me stress (like deadlines) at the present time.  I need to take care of myself right now!  I have put both of my design teams on hold until further notice.  I promise that I will be back as soon as I am able.  Thank you for your understanding.

2 new cards...

Hi all.  Today I am going to show you 2 new cards that I have made this week.   The first card is for the Imagine That Digi Stamp design team.  Since it is getting close to Easter, I decided to use the Lamb of God file.  I think Kris did a great job with her drawing.  I colored the image with assorted Copic and Spectrum Noir Markers.   I fussy cut the image and pop dotted it onto a Nestabilities die cut that had been cut out of textured paper. Then I sanded the small circles for a little interest and dimension.   The sentiment is also from the Lamb of God file.  I made 2 tiny ribbons for the sides.

Be sure to check out all of the wonderful cards that the other design team members did.  And don't forget our Progressive challenge that is going on all month!

Next, is a card that I made on my own (not for a design team).  It is such a simple card, but it is really effective!  I used a Silhouette file called Quilt Card.  The file cuts circles with score lines that can be folded inward to make squares.  I chose some matching designer card stock and just glued them onto the base card that was embossed with an Embossabilities plate.  I added a sentiment with a rubber stamp and cut it out with the Nestabilities Fancy Frame die.  Yes, it was that easy!  I really love the way it looks!  I think it is very elegant and chic.  If I do this card again, I might try doing some distressing on it.  Then it will be shabby chic!  LOL

Till next time...

Progressive Challenge

Hi all!  It's time for a new monthly progressive challenge at Imagine That Digis Progressive Challenge.  Remember that if you played along last month, you get the image for FREE!  My card for the design team was printed and colored with Copic markers.  I had to fussy cut around the image so I could pop dot it on to my die cut background.  I made 2 different sized layers, one in white and a smaller one in red.  I embossed with my Cuttlebug folder, Swiss Dots.  I then brayered black over the top to make it look like ladybug dots.  I made a matching double bow for the top and around the bigger layer of card stock. I love how I just happened to have this great ribbon in my stash!

Don't forget to go to Imagine That Digis by Kris and pick up this adorable image.  If you didn't get to play last month, you can get the file on sale for only $2.00.  Then, next month you can get the freebie!

Till next time...
