Ribbon Wreath

Hi all.  I am posting these cards to show what I am making for Christmas cards this year.  They 

are called Ribbon Wreaths.  I got inspired to make these wreaths when I saw a card online that 

had a perfectly plain white wreath.  I'm not even sure what it was made out of.  But, I thought it would be really nice to wrap ribbon on it and so I actually made my first one as a 4th of July birthday card.  You can see that one in my previous post.  The technique is really quite simple and after you make the wreath, you can decorate it with ribbon, bows, rhinestones, punches, etc.  One of my examples is for a winter card that I added snowflakes that were actually waste from a border punch.  You can use any kind of background (stamped, designer paper, handmade background or even embossed).  The actual wreath is made by using 2 circle die cuts of different sizes.

Christmas Snowmen

Hi all.  Today's card is an easel fold card for my Design Team submission for Imagine That Digis by Kris.  The name of the set is called Snowmen Trio.  I had fun coloring it with Sharpie fine point markers.  I used an oval Nestabilities die cut and an embossing folder for the texture on the bottom of the card.  The holder at the bottom is from a border punch that I attached with pop dots to "catch" the bottom of the oval.  I used glitter pens on some of the elements but you can not see them in the pic.  The sentiment was heat embossed with black.

I'm Back!

Hi all.  Sorry that I have been MIA for a few weeks.  I was out of the country on a cruise (to renew our vows for our 15th anniversary).  Then I had to head down to Moffitt Cancer Center for some tests and my treatment.  The Dr. said that everything was pretty good and in my case, that is good!  Anyway, I am back with December's challenge card for Imagine That Digi Stamps Progressive Challenge.  The set used for this card is called Joy.  I colored it with alcohol markers, used die cuts, a punch, designer paper and ribbon to finish it.

Imagine That November Progressive Challenge

Today, I am focusing on the Imagine That Progressive Digi challenge for November.  I have been extremely busy and I haven't had a chance to post until now.  This month we are using an image from the set called Jars of Cheer.  I chose the one with the peppermints because I am working on my Christmas cards and I thought this was a perfect one to use.  I printed the image and used different brands of alcohol markers to color and then cut it out.  I mounted it on a piece of minty green card stock that I embossed and mounted that on some designer card stock.  After I photographed this card, I decided to do a little more (to make it pop).  I used Ranger Glossy Accents to add dimension to the candy in the jar and on the holly berries.  Each piece of candy and berry had to be glossed individually so they looked like separate pieces of candy and berries.  Trust me, they do!  Unfortunately, I had already submitted it to Imagine That so I wasn't able to send in a new photo.

Hi all.  Today, I am showcasing my new card for Imagine That Imagine That Digis by Kris.  She is called Skatie Katie and she comes with either outlines or an already colored image.  There are also several sentiments included in the set.  You can see the file below.  I love to color red-heads and I thought green was a great color for her to wear.

So Cool

Today's project for Imagine That Digis by Kris is not one of the progressive images.  I decided to take our favorite Goose, Gertie and see what she was up to this winter.  Turns out, she is skiing on a little patch of ice.  I did several techniques with her.  I paper pieced her coat and hat with the designer papers that go with her file.  I colored her in with Copic and Sharpie markers.  I used white flocking for the pompom and rim of her hat and also on her coat.  I used a white, fine glitter for the ice and glittered the sides, top and bottom of the actual card.  The inside of the card is actually the same color as her mittens.  The sentiment is also from the same file.

Snow Globe Angel

Hi all.  Today, I am showcasing Imagine That Digis Progressive Challenge.  The set is called Jenn & Friends.  I decided to make an easel card with this cute image.  I used a large snowflake brad to hold it up.  I used purples and pinks so it wouldn't look too Christmasy.  I wanted to use it for a winter birthday card.  I really like the way it came out and the colors really pop.

Imagine That Free Digi Stamp and Challenge

Hi all.  Today I have a just released digi stamp from Imagine That Digi Stamps.  It is for their monthly progressive challenge.  His name is Penguin Cocoa and he is FREE!  Normally, you must have played in the previous challenge in order to get a free image, but this month, you didn't have to play last month!  You will get this adorable penguin digi stamp absolutely free and then you will be eligible to play each month and get the new challenge image each time, without having to pay anything!  Gotta love that!  Of course Kris has so many wonderful images, you might want to look around and see if there is anything else you might want.  The prices are excellent and you can get whole sets.  Anyway, back to my card.  I printed and colored the image with Spectrum Noir and Copic markers.  I used snow glitter to the pom pom on top of his hat and on the ends of the braided part of the hat.  To make the foam in his cup, I mixed my own embossing powder.  I used white, a touch of a  glittery, coppery brown and some extra thick embossing powder.  I kept heating and adding more powder and heated some more.  I did this about 4-5 times to get the effect that I wanted.  I printed some of the Christmas digi, designer paper from the IT store and used a snowflake border punch for the bottom.  The extra snowflakes that popped out, I glued to the designer paper.
