October 19, 2016

It really has been a long time since I have posted here.  I have been very busy with my Zentangle® work including doing my first art show.  That hasn't kept me from my card making but just from posting here.  I am showcasing some of my cards that I have made,  including the start of my Christmas cards.  Enjoy...

The first 2 cards were done by tangling on pressed leaves.

This card is being entered in the My Favorite Things sketch challenge

This card was made with a place card from a luncheon that I attended.
It just screamed make me into a shaker card!

I made this card from a napkin from a neighborhood party that I attended.

This card was made from a black & white post card.  I colored it with colored pencils
and gamsol.  I die cut the sentiment and added the stones that I colored with Copic Markers.

I decided to try a negative space die cut card.  I now have the positive cuts to make another card.

Another Zentangle Inspired Art (ZIA) card.

This card is so much prettier in person.  It is actually very sparkly...

This card is also being entered into My Favorite Things sketch challenge.

Till next time...

Christmas Cards

Hi all.  Today, I am showcasing Imagine That Digi Stamps, Tree With Presents.  This image can be purchased from the store, separately, or in a bundle of cute Christmas image.

I colored the image with colored pencils and glitter gel pens.  I punched the star out of gold glitter paper and glued it on the top of the tree.  The background is dry embossed and the greeting is die cut.

I am also adding some other Christmas Cards that I have made...

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my work.
Don't forget...you still have a few more days to
enter our Digi of the Month Challenge.  It closes
on October 28th.

Till next time...

Oh Christmas Tree...

This week's project for The Cutting Cafe was to make any of the Christmas tree files, including a box, a book, a goodie bag holder, sentiment stamps and a 3-D Christmas tree.  I decided to make the 3-D Christmas tree with some Christmas designer card stock .  It was easy to cut out with my Silhouette and easy to put together.  The hardest part was finding elements to decorate the tree!  That was also the most fun part.  I used Stickles, rhinestones, mini snowflakes, and mini candy canes and to top it off, I used a large, gold star brad that I cut the legs off.  My sister, who was visiting liked it so much that I gave it to her to take to her home!

Just some little tips... tape the tree pieces together from the back so you can't see the tape.  It helped to glue the points on the top, together and then glue the brad on the top of the points.  Also, be sure to decorate it before you put it together.  It is much easier that way.  Trust me, I know...   ;-)

Be sure to check out the other designer's projects here.  You will surely be impressed!

Until next time...
