New Challenge Entry

Hi everyone.  I am getting ready to go on a Transatlantic cruise in a week,
and I have been very busy!
I have only done this one card for the Imagine That progressive challenge (http://www.imaginethatdigistamp.blogspot.com)
I am hoping I will not miss out on the new one while I am gone.

This image was something different from what I would normally pick.  That is why I decided that I really wanted to play…so, I decided to take the challenge (for me) to another level.  I have used colored pencils to color the image.  That is a stretch for me as I have been using markers ever since I started making cards!  I inked the sky and road and did use a Copic marker to make a shadow.  I also used a a gel pen to color in the flames in the word speeding.  I used Glossy Effects to make the balloons pop and give it more dimension. Hope you like it.

2 New Cards for Spring and Easter

Happy Easter everyone!

I made this card for Digi Darla's Challenge.  The theme was flowers.  The title of this card is called "You Asked for Flowers".  I actually started this a couple of years ago and it looked pretty lame.  I just decided to use it and keep adding more flowers and the butterflies.  They said they wanted to see a lot of flowers.  I think I definitely gave them flowers!  These 2 cards are also entered in Raisin Boat challenge.
Raisin Boat Challenge

This card is being entered into Created With Love's Easter Challenge.  I wanted to try something new, as far as shape was concerned.  I used 2 digi stamps and printed them out, together and colored them.  I used lg. square open scallop Nestabilities.  I cut it out twice with the frame and the cross on the front of the card and bent some of the back panel and glued them together so it opens up from the bottom.

Hope you like what you see!
Until next time...

Easter Challenge

I made this card to enter into the Imagine That Progressive Challenge.  It was a digi stamp that they offered for free, every time you enter their challenge.  I started from the beginning of their challenge and I have been getting my free digi that I use to enter the next challenge.  It is a lot of fun and a very clever idea in my opinion!  I used a glitter pen on the butterfly, frame and sentiment, but unfortunately, it does not show in the pic.
The following are challenges in which I have entered this card:

St. Patrick's Day Card Challenge

Well, St. Patty's day is going to be here in 2 weeks and I decided to make a card to enter into a challenge over at This and That Challenges.  They are doing a progressive challenge where they give you a free digi stamp to make your card in which you enter into their challenge.  If you do enter it, they will send you a new image to make for the next challenge.  This is the second challenge.  The first one was the flowers that I posted earlier.  Please check out their site.  The link is on the right side of my blog.  I am also submitting them to the following challenges:

A couple of New Cards for Challenges

Here are a couple of cards that I recently made.  They are both being entered into challenges.

This is a card that I did for a challenge called Progressive Freebie Challenge on a new web site:  www.imaginethatdigistamp.blogspot.com.  They give you a free digi stamp and if you enter it into their challenge, you will get the next free digi.  I colored the image with Sharpie markers.  I used a glitter pen on the bow.  I punched out some daisy shapes and attached them over the printed daisies with brads that I colored with my Sharpies to give it a 3 dimensional look.  I am also entering it in Raisin Boat Blog Challenge.  It is a great sitecheck it out:

This is a card that I made for www.splitcoaststampers.com.  The challenge was to make a card with black & white writing and then to use 3 different red elements.  The stamp is a digi that I altered by hand, to make it look like a cardinal.  (Originally, it had a round head.)  That was the first red element.  The second one was the double embossed background and the third one was the bow.  I actually have a 4th red element, with the actual card.

I hope you enjoy my most recent work as much as I enjoyed making them!
Thanks for looking!
